Raising the kittens

Week 2 The weight should be around 180 and 340 gram and kittens start to crawl at this point. They are also opening their eyes. Watch their eyes being clean all the time. If they loose fluids you will have to remove these with a piece of cotton-wool and cooled down boiled water. If the eyes stay dirty all the time consult your vetinerian. Initially, the eyes are very sensitive to bright light ; let them easily get used to this and place them in the dusk for a while, for example with a towel around the box. Around this time the hearing is developed too. Now it's time to involve yourself with the kittens. By doing this the cats become social and they get used to sounds of voices and humans. Last page
